We Don't Guess — We Follow IPM
Integrated Pest Management is the professional standard in pest control. It means using the most targeted, least invasive methods for your specific situation — combining techniques rather than defaulting to heavy chemical treatment. Better for your family, better for your pets, better for the environment, and more effective against bedbugs.
Treatment Methods
Every situation is different — we use the right approach for yours
Our Standard Treatment
Steam heat treatment followed by professional-grade insecticide. Steam kills bedbugs on contact at every life stage including eggs. The chemical follow-up provides residual protection. Two visits minimum, typically two weeks apart.
Full Property Heat Treatment
For severe infestations, whole-property heat treatment raises the temperature to 50°C+ for several hours — eliminating bedbugs at every life stage in a single visit. We work with specialist partners to provide this service where required
Inspection & Survey
Not sure if you have bedbugs? A thorough inspection confirms the problem before any treatment begins. Free when treatment is booked.
Monitoring
Post-treatment interceptor monitors placed under bed legs detect any remaining activity after treatment. Included with every treatment programme. We also provide a full written report and personalised aftercare guide — so you know exactly what to look for and how to prevent reinfestation long after we’ve gone.

Before Your Treatment
Following this checklist is essential for a successful outcome. Treatment cannot proceed if the property is not adequately prepared.
✓ Wash all bedding, clothing and soft furnishings at 60°C or higher and seal in clean bags
✓ Vacuum thoroughly — mattress, bed frame, carpets, skirting boards — and dispose of the vacuum bag immediately outside
✓ Clear clutter from around the bed and bedroom floor
✓ Do not move furniture or belongings to other rooms — this spreads the infestation
✓ Arrange for pets to be out of the property during treatment and for at least 4 hours after
✓ Be prepared to stay out of treated rooms for at least 4 hours after treatment
Proper preparation is the foundation of a successful treatment – in our experience it accounts for at least 70% of the outcome. We’ll send you a full checklist when you book so you have plenty of time to prepare.
If you’re struggling with the preparation – whether due to time, mobility or any other reason – please just let us know. We can take care of it for you at an additional cost. There’s no judgement, just a practical solution.
Please note: if the property is not adequately prepared when we arrive and treatment cannot proceed, a call-out fee of £80 will apply. This is rare – most clients prepare thoroughly and we want to help you do the same.
Did you know?
A single fertilised female bedbug — easily brought home from a hotel or holiday rental — can lay up to 4 eggs per day. At average UK room temperature, those eggs reach adulthood in as little as 5 weeks.
Left untreated for just 3 months, one bedbug can become an infestation of several hundred.
The longer you wait, the larger the infestation — and the more it will cost to treat.
Bedbug Treatment — Common Questions
How many visits does bedbug treatment take?
Most treatments require a minimum of two visits, approximately two weeks apart. The second visit catches any newly hatched eggs that survived the first treatment. The total number of visits depends on the severity of the infestation and how thoroughly the pre-treatment preparation was followed. In complex cases additional visits may be required.
Do I need to leave my home during treatment?
Yes – you, your family and pets must vacate the property during treatment and for at least 4 hours afterwards. This applies to chemical treatments. We’ll confirm exact timings when we book your appointment.
How long does the treatment take?
Typically 2 to 3 hours depending on the size of the property and the treatment method used.
Will one treatment be enough?
Rarely — bedbug eggs are resistant to most treatments, which is why a follow-up visit is always included in our programme. Two visits is the professional standard.
Do you treat the whole house or just the bedroom?
We survey the whole property, not just the bedroom. Bedbugs can spread to sofas, wardrobes and other rooms over time. We treat wherever activity is found, so you’re not paying for rooms that don’t need it, and nothing gets missed.
How soon can I see results?
It’s normal to still see some activity in the days following the first treatment — this is actually a sign the treatment is working as insects contact treated surfaces. Most clients see a dramatic reduction after the first visit. Full confirmation of elimination comes after the follow-up visit.
How much does bedbug treatment cost?
Treatment costs vary depending on the size of the property and the severity of the infestation. The longer bedbugs are left untreated, the more they spread — and the more expensive treatment becomes. Prices start from £150 and are confirmed at survey stage with no obligation. The best way to get an accurate price is to book your free survey today.
